I agree with Hulk about cicadas. Stupid noisy little buggers.

Anyone got any recommendations in terms of models/manufacturers for the Enterprise?

I've got a lot of 1/18 car models and want to expand into some Star Trek (and probably Star Wars) stuff. Not sure which ones are good/worthwhile spending cash on.

    Yep, he's right purdy. :D

The expression is a bit stern; either he 's trying to show "I R SRS AND THIS IS MY SRS BSNS FACE", or he's trying to hold in a fart, I don't know which.

Anyone here had any luck finding the new Hot Wheels Trek ships? So far, nothing on my end of things. That $1 Enterprise is an elusive little bugger and that's putting it mildly.

Found the one at CVS Pharmacy about a week ago. Beyond that it has been a pretty frustrating hunt.

A brand new, very fun exclusive that'll be available next month at San Diego Comic-Con.

    Boba Fett meets Evel Knievel.

    So great.

^ I feel the same way about that as I do about Patton Oswalt's 70s exploitation figures. I just don't get why.

Well, the movie may have disappointed me a bit, but this action figure certainly does not. Armored Zod arrived today, and he is pretty sweet:

^ That is the beauty that I am waiting to find and get :)

As for the Hot Wheels...no luck here. All but two of the BBTS pre-orders are sold out. Only the Klingon Bird of Prey and USS Excelsior are available for pre-order there.

I'm glad Servo is hiding behind Zod.

As we all know, any wisecracking 'bot constructed by a Robinson would never, ever kneel before him. ;)

It helps that Tom Servo is physically incapable of kneeling.

He won't dip-hover before him, then.

I imagine Crow would want to become one of Zod's evil lieutenants.

I like Michael Shannon, but Terence Stamp will always be the One True Zod for me. :p

The kids made a Father's Day card for Hawkeye. He's so proud.

No luck finding the Suited Zod at the LCS...perhaps another trip to our new Target is required this weekend.

@KM...'Tasha wants to know where her card is ;)

The first Star Wars Black Series figures (both 3.75" and 6") have just surfaced on eBay. This means widespread retail release isn't too far off, so if you're interested in any of these characters in one or both scales you might want to start keeping a close eye on your local stores.

They did a fine job with Springer, and I'm looking forward to Sandstorm (who is a retooled mold). I've heard mixed things about Blitzwing, because there's a design flaw that prevents his shoulder tabs from connecting tightly. It's not too difficult to fix if one has time to do it, but I'm not sure I'm that skilled. :p
