In a thread about directors for ENT it is mentioned that Roxanne Dawson:
Is this true? I haven't seen
    #204 Dead Stop yet.

The voice of the automated missile was B'Elanna herself, since she programmed it.

Um... WHAT?!? Did you watch the episode? It was an AI missile from another planet. She didn't program it, and it was definitely a male voice.

The missile spoke in a male voice *until* B'Elanna reprogrammed it, at which time it started speaking with her voice (B'Elanna did that on purpose, since she couldn't stand the original voice ).

    Yep.

Maj also did the computer for many Star Trek games....

I'm sure those recording sessions have a lot of samples to pick & choose from, take the Trek Encyclopedia programs alone where she spoke all the data about the ships & tech....

Imagine a Tom Tom or Garmin [sp] ad with her voice trilling from the device, how strange that would seem to folks, yet at the same time seem perfectly logical....

Trek Tech becoming real tech, heh heh heh heh heh heh...

    Someone probably already mentioned this:

James Earl Jones as the ENT computer....or even Robert Vaughn (who did the voice of Proteus in Demon Seed in the 70s)....or Kiefer Sutherland who had an interesting off-screen voice in Phone Booth...

Another one is sexy Katey Segal.....

That'd sure scare the hell out of enemy boarding parties. They force their way onto the ship and then hear this:

"Drop the phasers! Drop them NOW!!!"

If it has to be a male voice, why not Wil Arnet who was originally supposed to voice KITT in the new Knight Rider series. Another really good voice actor that comes to mind is Mark Hamil which would make all the nerds go insane but still a cool direction.

    1. The Missiles Original computer voice was Male.

    2. B'Elanna replaced that voice with her own because she got sick and tired of hearing the Cardassian Computer Voice.

    3. The episode was "Dreadnought"

As for who I'd want to do a new voice of the computer:

    If it's Male:
    Patrick Stewart or Michael Dorn

    If it's Female:
Marina Sirtis, Nana Visitor or Roxann Dawson

I think the best options, in no particular order are, Majel recordings (synth), Marina (esp. because she was like a daughter to Majel off screen and always a great Trek supporter), Rod Roddenberry (to keep it in the family).

Yeah Susan Gibney is a really good idea.

I'd like to suggest also, Any all Female first officers as a legacy of Magel Roddenberry.

With that in mind I think Nana Vistor should have the role since there hasn't been any other female first officer.

Yeah...I was thinking Jeri Ryan too.

I'm glad to see the Marina Sirtis angle has some traction.

And if it had to be a male voice, my vote goes to...OBAMA!!!

Candace Bergen. She did a beautiful job as the voice of the HAL-900's "sister", SAL, in "2010".
