Figures are pretty good.. don't know if he really created them from scratch or just modified existing ones but they look pretty good. Also a nice idea.
Oh, I just noticed that he also did it as "Steam Wars", "Serial Wars", "Noir Wars", "West Wars", "Samurai Wars", and "World Wars" (including Chewbacca as "1st Lt. Chuck Backer" and Darth Vader as "Reichsführer Vater!" *lol*). http://www.sillof.com/C-CUSTOMS-Main.htm
I like how the "Han Solo" character in the "Noir Wars" looks like Inidiana Jones and the version in the "World Wars" looks like Ford's character from Hanover Street. Some of those were a little cheesy, but really, really nice work overall.
Thank you for sharing this! This is some of the most imaginative things i have ever seen. Not only did he create the designs but alternate name and backstories too. All while still resembling their original designs.
I especially enjoyed the circular irony of the "Serial Wars" incarnation. I figured this site would be "old news" to Star Wars fans. I remember seeing examples of the SteamPunk version well over a year ago, maybe two. Sincerely, Bill
Those are awesome. I've seen Steampunk Star Wars before but this whole collection was just breathtaking. Thanks for the link.
lmao! thank you so much for posting this. this dude did a fantastic job. i think i will be making some costumes from these designs.
That was pretty good. I could really get behind writing a script for that! I was always a big cyberpunk fan, and could really give those guys some noirish lines. "Mr Link, sir, you're being an ass." "Yeah, well, Chip, I've had a bad day." "Removing your opponent's head does ten to prevent him from answering questions." "Don't worry, I know a guy." <musical tones reminiscent of, instead of a jammed doorbell, a punk guitarist in a blender> "Yeah, he's not my first choice either, Rod, but the Shark knows what's what." (spot the William Gibson reference)
Would be nice in the Clone wars to see alternate versions visited via wormholes. It would make for a more dangerous vibe.
