The previously mysterious summer event teased by Dan Slott in his interviews has finally been announced...Spider-Island will start in August after Infestation starts in April setting things up. 16,000 Manhattan Island residents including as per the tease in the final panels of the Amazing Spider-Man Point One issue, Mary Jane Watson, have Peter's powers. My first thought was that this was a bad '70s horror movie with William Shatner. 16,000 Spider-Men? Jameson is just going to flip.
Jonah and Spider-Man have been on kind of subdued terms since Marla died, but yeah Jonah is supposed to take drastic action. Unlike the Hulked Out Heroes this is supposed to have actual consequences for Peter by the end of the arc.
I wonder if this is going to be a crossover event ala Chaos War or Shadowland or if it will be confined to the Spider-books?
