"The GREATEST most TESTED scientific theory in the WHOLE HISTORY OF SCIENCE!" Though I guess only nerds care about that. Also, sombreros.
"I'm a PC, and I wrestle porcupines in Mexico for money" and other alternatives. Guess what, Microsoft. These commercials actually convinced me never to buy a PC again.
It's been my experience that the people most vocal about wanting diversity and tolerance only care about people who think and act like they do, to the point of holding anyone with a differing point of view in contempt. Let's be honest here, if someone posted the same things Mutenroshi did, only for the other political side, would the response be a playful back-and-forth jab to the ribs, or seething contempt and outrage?
Add to that, "should of". Every time I see those two misuses of the English vernacular used I want to throttle the person who posts them Add to this list, "Eww". I'm tired of females always using that.
It's a meaningless phrase; if you are nominated you haven't won anything yet. I don't think there's any reference to actually get.
You betcha. A store clerk said that to me a couple of weeks ago. Fuck, the election is long gone, Palin is long gone, I never want to hear that again. I'm usually kind to store clerks, having worked plenty of retail. I just couldn't help myself, though. I slammed his head through the plate glass window, then sawed his neck on the broken glass untill his his head fell off. Then I took the store security tape and left out the back.
Innit God I hate that expression, along with many MANY others which children (and, sadly, adults) seem to be using over here in the UK Hugo - in pain when he here's a kid say the aforementioned word
I'm sure the "other side's" reaction would match "your side's" reaction. That's what happens when you have "sides."
^ Some lady panelist on CNN was having a debate with someone, and pointed out that even having an argument over said topic was proof that it was wrong (and she was right). And that is the gist of how people think and act these days. Have you ever seen or heard of the movie Fargo? This would be like saying John Woo ripped off his style from The Matrix (which some people did say).
The word "twitter" I don't mind, but I definitely want the bloody updating the world with all the boring minutiae of your day thing banned!
Say wha --? That's part of the vernacular in Northern Wisconsin, Minnesota, the Dakotas, and other areas "up nordt". My mother is from a very small town in central Wisconsin and she's always said that. It has *NOTHING* to do with Sarah Palin.
