(Huh? We just saw earlier in the episode that you can easily have visual two way communication with Earth. Why doesn't O'Brien ask them himself how they're doing? )

 

O'BRIEN: Good. I'll tell them you might stop by.

 

ODO: Anyone I can look up for you, Doctor?

 

BASHIR: No, no, that's perfectly fine. I just wish I was coming with you.

 

ODO: To be perfectly honest, Doctor, I wish you were both going with me. I could use the company. I doubt a Shape-shifter is going to be very popular on Earth at the moment.

 

O'BRIEN: No one can hold you responsible for what your people are doing.

 

ODO: Really. I better get over to the Lakota. We'll be leaving shortly.

 

BASHIR: Good luck.

 

ODO: I don't believe in luck. But I appreciate the sentiment.
(Odo goes through the airlock.)

 

BASHIR: Well, we'd better get out of these uniforms.

 

ODO: To be perfectly honest, Doctor, I wish you were both going with me. I could use the company. I doubt that a "shape-shifter" will be welcome on Earth at the moment.

O'BRIEN: The Lakota's gone to warp.

 

WORF: When was the last time the wormhole opened?

 

KIRA: Twelve hours ago.

 

WORF: Perhaps it has returned to normal.

 

Worf: When was the last time the wormhole opened?

 

KIRA: I suppose so.

 

O'BRIEN: You sound disappointed, Major.

 

KIRA: I guess I am. Part of me was hoping that the Prophets were behind it. That they were finally going to show themselves to the Bajoran people.
