I've revised my wish. Now, I just want to keep my apartment for another month. Can't wait for this year to be over. --Ted
I think I want this Asus EEE PC from Target. Having wee tiny hands means the keyboard won't be a problem. The lure of a 2 pound, 300 dollar netbook is strong.
^ I have an Asus (not that model) and so far it's the most reliable laptop I've owned. I have horrendous luck with laptops and have been known to destroy most of them, but this one hasn't given me any problems yet.
^I would recommend against going with a model that uses a solid state drive. The performance increase is insufficient to justify the fact that you're stuck with only 4gb of disk space (much of which will already be used up when you switch it on) when you can get a much larger hard disk for a lot less.
Thanks for the advice! I do have a 150 gig passport drive, so storage isn't an issue. Just to keep it on topic- I want some new DS games, Crosswords DS and Let's Pilates.
Depending on the OS you choose, a 4gb primary disk is going to choke the system when it comes to virtual memory, web browser caches etc.
all i want for chrimbo is my other half to be happy (she's had a shite year with her folks) oh and maybe to get stoned or drunk or both actually thinking about it getting drunk seems better the last time i got stoned i tried to eat the chrimbo tree pine needles dont taste nice
Here is the prelim list I just sent my sister with some random ideas off the top of my head: House (whatever season comes after the last one I buy before Christmas) "Hancock" "Pursuit of Happiness" The new X-Files movie "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" A couple technical shirts for running Running socks A new computer monitor Gift cards A couple books that I will have to grab the titles for.
Actually, we have something here in Cheyenne called a "Cheyenne card" or something like that, which is a gift card redeemable at most stores in town. So, one or two of those would be awesome, but otherwise I would go for the mall, Barnes & Noble, Circuit City, Qdoba, Olive Garden, Subway, or Wal-Mart.
^ That sounds pretty neat. We don't have anything like that here, unfortunately. Also I am extremely jealous that you have a Qdoba near you!
I'd personally would like just gift cards this year..nothing really big. And for my family to be healthy and happy. i have all the things I need.
