This is something that has been on my mind for awhile, it's a work in progress so details may change or come and go. I'm basically wanting to incorporate all the design features of the K'tinga as well as the D7 from the original series, but with a more sleek and tougher design.

    Thanks for looking

I'm trying to keep the feel of the original D7/K'tinga, so its upper structure looks sort of the same. Notice the gun emplacements on the top of the wing.

I put some primer on the top superstructure.

That is AWESOME! First of all, I love the art of building a physical model. Secondly, the beefed up neck is a great touch. Although I've always loved the D-7, even as a kid, I recognized that as an extremely weak and vulnerable structure. You model is looking incredible. Great work.

I really like this so far! I was disappointed with Sternbach's Klingon Cruiser on Next Gen and considered it a missed opportunity to put a fresh spin on an old classic. After it premiered, I sat down and sketched a sleeker version and it had some similarities to what you're doing here. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!

Simply awesome. I could easily see this appearing in a future Star Trek movie.

    Interesting. :techman:

It looks like a 24th or 25th century Klingon vessel with perhaps some Federation influence (at this point).

What material are you using? It looks like some kind of plastic.

That looks fantastic! I have a lot of respect for people who have the talent to build a physical model, and the detail in this is beautiful.

    Are you using Styrene?

Very nice. I'm curious about your design process. Plans, tools, products, et c... If you don't mind.

Oh dear Lord, contain my glee!

Please finish this! I'd hate to see such a clean and wonderful concept turn into vaporware!

Looks like solid work in progress there. I've long wished that I had that particular skill set.

It is extremely rare to see a model with so much originality, one that I don't think would have been better off as a 3D model.

It pleases me to no end to be able to say that it almost looks like an actual prototype for an actual model kit, or a filming prop.
