    the warning was rescinded after 2 hours. Like on Dec 21st, armageddon is postponed again.

    A 1m high tsunami did his the Solomons though, destroying at least three villages and killing six people.

    Somewhere around 5280ft above sea level here. If one hits here a whole lot of people are screwed.

    Unfortunately earthquakes are quite common for the Solomon Islands. Sadly unlike the major earthquake back in 2010 some people have lost their lives, but thankfully it sounds like it hasn't been as major a disaster that the 2007 earthquake caused tsunami that hit around Gizo.
