My wife & I visited our local Pumpkin Patch... I had no idea there were so many varieties of punkins! Pumpkin prices from $8 to $80 & up! ] TIP OF THE DAY: first chance you get... rub a pumpkin for luck!
Finished my costume today. I hope a few of you recognize who I'm going as. Hint: this is half of a couples costume.
^So where's Emma Peel? (I assume that's what you're going for) There are quite a few pumpkin varieties. My mom tries to grow several kinds each year...but the squash bugs almost always get them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pumpkin_varieties
Correct. John Steed and Emma Peel. Mrs. Peels costume is currently a pile of fabric and a pattern. My girlfriend assures me it will be done in time.
I am working at screams Halloween Park this year (the dark side of Scarborough Faire) so I am in costume every Friday and Saturday. May go to a party the next weekend after Haloween...since many are at Screams. Just depends how lively I am.
^That sounds fun. I loved Scarborough Faire---very lovely grounds. Not as much to do there as at Texas Ren. Faire, but the smaller, more intimate atmosphere made it more relaxing & much easier to see the shows.
Make your very own fresh pumpkin pie! The Perfect Pumpkin Pie http://allrecipes.com/recipe/mrs-siggs-fresh-pumpkin-pie/detail.aspx Heather picked out a beautiful "Cinderella" pumpkin, which is best (sweetest) for baking pumpkin pies. Give it a try... it's fun and easy to do and your friends & family will tell you it's the best pumpkin pie they ever tasted! Helpful Hint: Don't be shy with the cinnamon... and Graham Cracker Crust is a better way to go, imo. Also, fresh roasted pumpkin seeds are a real treat.
Thanks for sharing, Dell. The only desserts I've baked are the Betty Crocker kinds, which are much simpler to prepare. I like pumpkin pies, especially this time of the year.
I am thinking either the green hornet or Wayne Algar. Wayne would be much easier since I just need a wig and a black t-shirt.
I'm thinking of being an Orion slave girl. I have nowhere to go, but I have a new boyfriend, so... yeah. Has anyone done full-body paint before? I have no idea where to buy stuff like that or how to put it on and keep it from staining everything.
