Nah, appears to be bogus. There was some speculation that he might be the Captain on Star Trek Renegades, but that appears to be some descendant of Khan now.

This is the first I've heard of it, real or bogus.... sounds "intriguing".

I would be very suprised if this ever progressed into production. With all due respect to Michael Dorn I don't believe he has the acting chops to lead a Star Trek series. I definitely see Worf progressing to the rank of Captain in-universe but he will always only be a supporting character IMHO.

    Have to agree.

Worf, as a character, has had his time. There have been loads of episodes on him, his honour, his family, his Starfleet-Klingon conflict, and so forth. Plus him putting the good of the one ahead of the many all but ended his career.

Is there really anywhere for the Worf character to go? DS9 gave him a good send off even though Nemesis ignored it.

I believe Dorn would be into it.

I just don't believe a 24th century Star Trek series would be funded by a studio right now.

I don't think the time setting has anything to do with there not being a new Trek series.

I've got no problem with Captain Worf in principle, but it seems very unlikely that the next Trek series will deal with the 24th century, much less a character who's already been a main character on two of the longest running trek series.

Love Worf and all but, yeah, no.

First off, I do not think Worf is Starfleet Captain material. He's awesome at being a right hand man, he will always have your back but he is not a good leader.

And I agree, as compelling as Worf was, Michael Dorn couldn't carry a show.
Worf has had more screen time than any other ST character and DS9 left him in a great place (BTW, I refuse to believe he left his position in the empire as ambassador to go back to pushing buttons for Picard on the bridge. In my mind he was just there for the wedding and stayed for the adventure.)

And frankly, Michael Dorn is getting too old to adequately portray Worf, it was noticeable in Nemesis.

Dorm outright denied it at the big TNG con in Burbank earlier this year. And, even if he was developing it, it wouldn't go anywhere.
