I did indeed finish TerraFae and it was wonderful. Funny, clever, sad, touching and weird as all hell-- as Squiggy would say, it was dramistic. If you love Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett or blablover5, I suggest you buy it. Probably, but not this go round.
Long time since I've been on the board. I'm currently at the end of a multi-year slog through Terry Pratchett's discworld. Three books to go.
^I find myself doing something not entirely dissimilar... I keep picking up Pratchetts inbetween whatever else I read Alright already! -Is it OK if I wait until the shops open tomorrow?
Stephen Fry is awesome whether in printed or film/television format...I've loved him ever since the very first time I saw him in Blackadder and The Young Ones during my teens.
^Indeed. When I am feeling down I take a moment to watch this: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzTTO6abhVo[/yt] And it helps me to feel my normal gorgeous, squishy, pink, lovely self again. I don't know. Can you really go that long without a twisted tale of deceit, violence, politics, public school boys, Oscar Wilde hero worship, and filthy, filthy sex, all told a-chronologically? I don't know if I could do it.
Oh man, I seriously can't stop laughing! ETA: And, lord, that was supposed to be public school boys! The L key on my laptop sticks!
I finished The Girl Who Played With Fire and have now started The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larrson.
Well... I bought it... they might even have it sometime this week Meanwhile: they expect to have The Hydrogen Sonata by tomorrow
After having finished The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (of course) today I started reading The Uncensored Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (of course) this afternoon.
Voyager The Eternal Tide. Well, haven't really started reading it properly yet, just the first page or so.
I'm about half way through The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. After that, one of my mates gave me The Sunset Warrior by Eric Van Lustbader to try.
Any good? I'm going through a biography phase at the moment and he's someone I'd be interested in reading about.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It is much slower than I expected, but I'm enjoying it.
Keep reading. It's excellent. The Girl Who Played With Fire is incredible too- you almost can't put it down and when you finally do, you want to go read Hornet's Nest immediately!
