Some interesting stuff in the preview at the end of tonights Christmas special. I wonder who this could be? Warwick Davis in the Cybermen episode. Speaking of which... They're back! Nightmare fuel. Nightmare fuel 2. Gaaah! Its so damn long until April!
Also, is that Zoe Wanamaker saying "She's rather pretty isn't she"? Could it possibly be Lady Cassandra is back?
I'm getting a funny feeling that every episode in the 50th anniversary season is going to connect back to something in the past.
No it is a different actress who was in Titanic mini-series, dinnerladies and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - Celia Imrie.
Eh... we're getting the rest of S7, an Anniversary Special, and a Christmas Special in 2013. Since none of S8 proper airs in 2013, I think it's fair to call the second half of S7 "Anniversary Season" . Earlier in the year, I had hoped we'd see the rest of S7 and at least part of S8 would be aired before/around the Special, but, they weren't able to swing that.
Just look at the christmas special. Classic-style opening theme, classic-style console room, the main villain is one that has appeared in 2 classic stories. I'll say Captain Dago is right that the remaining episodes of the season are going to connect back to classic Who.
In the episode "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS", I wonder if they might hark back to "Invasion of Time" and the Doctor discovers the Sontaran that's been trapped in there all these years
Hmmmph. Yeah, I had forgotten about those rumors. Probably mentally blocked them. If true, yeah, I think you're right. I was thinking the first half of season 8 was going to be the anniversary season. Fiddlesticks. Mr Awe
If you think about it, They could pretty easily get away with treating a 2014 series as the anniversary series as long as they air it before the 51st anniversary. After all, "Celebrating 50 years" works a lot better after you actually have a full 50 years to celebrate.
Are the clips in this new? http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/d...ler-doctor-who-miranda-luther-more-watch.html
Ah. Was that the first show they listed in the trailer? It went by so fast I couldn't read the title.
Whovian from the States here, so forgive me if my knowledge is splotchy. In the special, how is the main villain one that appeared in 2 classic episodes? Were the snowmen seen years ago?
