Hi guys, I still wonder any future will make a Star Treks animations like star wars the clone wars on dvd? it there any new star treks animations?...I know it is stupid question. Any Suggestion? Thank, guys Martyn
There has been some talk of a new animated series should the next movie, Star Trek Into Darkness, be successful. But it's years off if at all. http://trekmovie.com/2012/07/17/exc...l-declares-movie-tie-in-comics-game-as-canon/ (just ignore the crap about the comics being canon, Orci refutes it as just placating the pushy interviewer in the comments) FWIW, there was an animated series planned in 2005, called Star Trek: Final Frontier, but it never came to fruition. Info, the first script, art (OMG look that that Enterprise) and storyboards here: www.zeroroomproductions.com
For those who are curious, Star Trek: Final Frontier has a blog with links to artwork, storyboards, scripts, etc. They seem to have a good attitude about criticism of their Enterprise. FWIW, I like ST:FF. The uniforms are nicely done. Characters seem to be fleshed out well for an animated project.
There is the animated ST: Aurora fan film. Really well done animation on a home budget. http://auroratrek.com/ Also Kail, had his great comics and website: http://www.startrekanimated.com/tas_main.html
I always thought the concept was interesting, but that ship design was ridiculous. Looks like a baking pan with warp nacelles.
What was the animation project that was cancelled? It involved a Federation after a catastrophe, a new captain and different looking Enterprise that was not a flagship.
