I would love to see that but I know it will never happen.

Skyfall is a good name for a Bond flick. I'm really looking forward to this.

I was just wondering something, is Q coming back for this movie? And if he is, who is playing him.

Well, there have been rumors that he and Moneypenny might be back in some form, but as far as crazy gadgets and stuff, they're still trying to distance themselves from the excess of the Brosnan era (Although there are still gadgets in the Craig films, they seem to have a more practical use). Then again, Q had fairly large roles in the Dalton movies, which like Craig's films were going for a more serious tone.

Are you saying that Q kind of equals crazy gadgets? I'm not sure I agree with that. Much like they did when they switched from Brosnan to Craig, they can find ways to scale back Q while still making him great.

Since Q stands for Quartermaster, we've actually already seen him, in all but name, in CR, implanting the chip into Bond's arm...

Ah, yes, guy with mustache and no lines! I remember him, I always expected him to say something Q-ish.

They need to get back a big brass band for the next Bond theme, avoiding grunge style rock at all fucking costs.

I'd actually thought that the fellow with greying hair guiding Bond through the portable defibrillator was Q, and the younger one was "R", as it were....

Still the bald mustached guy would also be a good candidate, I agree....

Or Anthony Head. I always thought he'd make a great Q.

Maybe Ben Whishaw is playing a young geeky Q?

Hugh Laurie as Q has always been my choice for the Craig era.

Brian May as Q, which stands for Queen. He built his own guitar, he's clearly up to the job.

All good suggestions.. The thought of it being James May gave me a smile. If they do it, it should be a lesser known actor and it should be played somewhat straight, much like they did for the first couple of Conner flicks.. Q had some witty lines, but they weren't the slapsticky scenes they quickly evolved into...

That said, with the way things are these days, the role will end up going to Simon Pegg.. LOL

Hugh Laurie, Rowan Atkinson or John Cleese would be nice.

I love John Cleese, but I didn't think his Q quite worked. Maybe it's because he's primarily a comedian, and while there is much humor in the Q scenes, Q himself is not a humorous character in himself.

Hugh Laurie might work, but Tony Head is still my personal choice. He already has a bit of a Desmond Llewelyn quality to him, so he'd make a very good Major Boothroyd.
