Had pancakes with margarine and jam! Made them nice and thin and fluffy too which is nice because the first couple were botched.

I find whenever I make pancakes or crepes I need to do a few practice ones before I start getting it right. :)

Last night I went to a wine tasting event so dinner consisted of the appetizers brought around on trays and lots of wine.

Free soft tacos due to a restaurant promotion.

Given the promotion, I may be eating these once a week for a while...

The Hubby made these amazing Asian style pulled pork sandwiches with spicy Asian slaw. They were fantastic! Me want more ... even at 6:00 a.m.

We had a big meal planned, but it got late in a hurry and neither of us felt like it. So my wife made some sort of strata. It was very good.

Went out for a nice dinner last night to celebrate recent decisions of mine.

Had a decent smoked salmon/poached egg/pastry thing to start, then a fabulous confit chicken leg (stunning quality meat, similar to a Bresse). Various awesome cheeses after. Too full for dessert after all that! The wines? An acidic Riesling with the starter, spicy Gruner Veltliner for the main and lovely Jurancon (perfect for goat's cheese) and rich Muscat (total synergy with a particular artisanal cheddar) for the cheeses.

I baked a quiche for the first time: asparagus, bacon, swiss cheese, green onion and fresh rosemary from my plant I haven't managed to kill yet. It turned out pretty good. :)
