I miss the vegie thread, so you have to look at my vegie photos here. This is mushroom pate (it was delicious), onion chutney and salad of mixed leaves, radish and smoked almonds. And view from a rooftop bar. There are a lot of bars and cafes and odd little places that sell like one thing only up high in my city, sometimes it can take a while to even find them. This one you get to by entering a noodle shop and going down the back past the kitchen to a flight of stairs.
Thank you. It was nice to have an occasion to wear the dress. I saw it at my old place of work and it was an OMG I MUST HAVE IT moment. It suite my short-but-ample stature.
Been playing a bit with a clip-on macro-lens I bought for my phone. Here's the sad state of some of mum's roses:
I was in Chicago for Opening Day '11 and had a great time. I loved Wrigley Field and US Cellular Field - unfortunately I froze my ass off the whole week. But it was worth it.
Dining Al Fresco at Casey's in the Magic Kingdom Ian having a laugh Aaron by Pirates of the Caribbean Kira got her first haircut at the Barbershop in the Magic Kingdom
I see there are fences up around the hub. Is that for the hub's expansion? Our youngest also got his first haircut at the barbershop in 2009! He wasn't too pleased though!
More kiltness! For it for the first time as dress wear the other night to an old classmates 30th birthday. And yeah, I know that the shoes are near proper. I don't really have any good fine dress shoes. Hard to find at my size. And I am gonna clean that mirror today. Also, my mom was at the comic convention in Stockholm that was held this weekend. My sister and her friends was exhibiting some of their art. Wandering around my mom found this and instantly bought it for me. Does she know me well or what?
All three now have had their first haircut at the barbershop at the Magic Kingdom. Yes, the walls are for the Hub redesign for the new Double Hub. While not so intrusive if just walking around, during Wishes fireworks they really hurt watching it. The Swan Dock is completely gone now.
Okay, you get an exclusive contract for the kilt in your country but in mine someone effed up the kilt wearing patent and I want them all, ALL in kilts.
I find myself forced to fully agree with my self-acclaimed arch-nemesis For some reason really every man looks good in a Kilt. I'd love to see more of them around =) What are the green gherkin-like things in the first pic and the tubers in the second one? And what are those leaves in pic 3? They look just a little like sweet potato leaves. I like pic 1! The contrast in colours and textures is cool! =) You have a good eye for different textures and framing.
What the heck are you talking about? 1. Bitter Melon 2. Taro There are 10+ different leaves in that pic, the big ones I'm not sure about but the ones next to them are choy sum.
I was refering to the big triangular ones in the foreground, in the blue box. Thanks for explaining =) I've heard of bitter melon but never seen one. I had suspected #2 might be Taro (have read descriptions but never saw one) - it's nice to be right
Oh I don't know what they are, just what they taste like. They never have non chinese lettered name above them. Some of these leaves have several names as well. Next to the taro is a bag with a half taro so you can sorta see what it looks like cut up.
