Don't forget Stephen and Reed were involved in that erasure as well. It wasn't just Tony :)

Amazing X-Men #1 was good. I love McG art. And I really like the fun atmosphere Aaron has to his X-Men books.

Cataclysm #1. Basically, nothing happens. Galactus shows up stomps around a little. That's it. Glad I'm not paying $4 for this :p

    Iron Man #18 :wtf:

A woman was basically inducted into the Mandarin corps.

Basically, a ring flew to her and asked her if she wanted to save the world. she said yes, so the ring said

    "You possess the neccesary will".

Then it latched on to her, made her go kind of phoenix like (firey hair and flying) and said

"You are Mandarin Seven, save the world from Tony Stark".

I don't know were this is going, but there is definately GL similarities, and its pretty stupid.

That sounds pretty bad  Not to mention that Fraction ended his run with a great Mandarin story and they should let him rest for awhile before inevitably resurrecting him.

    HA!

    Double HA!

I wonder if people will start calling her Marv?

Gennis Vel didn't understand how Rick Jones was making fun of him by calling him Jenny for years.

Abomb was such a mistake. Rick Jones was fantastic and lasted 50 years as everyone's sidekick... Abomb is a bomb.

    What's Phala Vel calling herself?

Although a shapefifter in this political climate?

Racial profiling may be diskish, but is anyone else thinking Skrull?

I haven't read it yet but looking forward to Mighty Avengers #3.
Been hearing rumbings over at CBR forums that the mystery figure is going to be
    BLADE
Issue #4 is where the reveal will allegedly take place.

They are essentially pulling the "who is Ronin" trick from when New Avengers started back in the mid '00s, except this time the reveal is a character I really like!!

"Spider-Hero" is too sciencey to be Blade unless I got crosseyed reading all those bubbles.

    Chi Signitures?

Does that mean that Iron Fist has always know how everyone is despite their masks?

Yeah, I read about the accidental reveal of Spider-Hero a couple weeks back on one of the comic sites I frequent. If you want to know for sure, it probably wouldn't be that hard to find at this point.
As a big supporter of the attempts to diversify the media I'm very tempted to at least pick up the first couple issues of the new Ms. Marvel, if for no other reason than to show support for the concept.

The IGN article said that was just concept art, so what we get in the final book should be cleaner.

Ms. Marvel is a neat idea but will be dead in 12 or less - too many things against it - reactionary fans, creator with no mainstream appeal, female character etc.

    Not to be cynical, but...

    1) It got Marvel a day's worth of mainstream press.
    2) At worst (ie, it runs for a year, plus/minus three months), the book is "Ms. Marvel" trademark protection.

Hoping for an Excalibur/Ms. Marvel meeting. Considering their coincidental shared roots in superhero fandom...

    Meh, that way lays madness.

You'll end up with another book like Mighty Avengers or the All girl X-Men team.

"I am not defined by just one thing!"

    Integration vs. segregation.

All that aside, funny enough, I was wondering what "Excalibur" was up to yesterday.

That's just an awful name for a person on a team called Excalibur to have, while holding a sword called Excalibur.

The team is MI-13 now. Excalibur takes her code-name from the sword.
