The villain is actually ... Janice Lester. She swapped bodies with some big strapping guy. And now she'll take revenge upon Kirk for kicking her to the curb, and Starfleet for not putting her in command of a heavily armed starship. Neither decision has ever made any sense to her.
I still say its a Spock related connection to Cumby. Maybe Amanda had twins and Spock looked more Vulcan and Cumby looked human but had the same vulcan strength. Sarek could have sent that child away since it was not 'Vulcan' and the child is back for revenge.
He could be an ancient Iconian or Tkon or anything, returning to avenge for something that happened millenia ago. And you know what? Just like Nero's awesome "I've been waiting for this day my who life... this day of reckoning." in the STXI trailer (which was from the gag reel, of all places! Eric Bana deadpanning kinda ruins it), I wonder if Cumberbaddie's fantastic "I have returned... to take... my... vengeance!" will be part of Into Darkness
I'm officially changing my vote back to Mitchell on the premise that when doing a multiple guess quiz, your first answer is the right one. Also, the villain should be a contemporary of Kirk's, not a mentor figure like Garth. Cumbers is too young for that role.
Nah, it'll be Archer's crazy great grandson... Jeff. Power mad and pissed at being denied the Federation Presidency... because he ain't American and his ears are completely the wrong shape.
Obviously it's Ben Finney. The shot with the hands on the glass is right before they jettison the Ion Pod.
