Michael Clarke Duncan had a heart attack two months ago and never really recovered. :(

He was admitted to the hospital in mid-July after suffering a myocardial infraction. Three weeks later, he was moved out of ICU but remained hospitalized.

Duncan's probably best known here for his work on Armageddon, The Green Mile, Daredevil, Sin City and Planet of the Apes.

:( Sorry to hear this - was just watching him in The Whole Nine Yards last night. A big man with a big talent.

This is so sad...54 is far too young! He seemed like such a warm, likeable man in interviews and he was so very talented. RIP.

Awful news. He was amazing in everything he did, whether I liked the movie or not.

Also great in the short lived The Finder series.

Saw this going across twitter awhile ago and was stunned.
I didn't even know about the heart attack.
    So sad.

Among other roles, he was a better Kingpin than many gave him credit for at the time.......

Very sad. I'd forgotten he was in Planet of the Apes, too.

This is very sad news. I just read about it on FB. He was still quite young. I've seen him in a dozen movies--Scorpion King, Armageddon, voice of Kilowog in Green Lantern, etc.

Rest in peace, Mr. Duncan ... :(

This is terrible. He had such energy, verve and charisma in all the interviews I saw him in. He seemed to be such a great guy. I'll miss seeing him. :( RIP

I just watched the execution of John Coffey scene from The Green Mile and what a heart wrenching scene that was. I was shocked when I read the news today.

    RIP :(
