Title says it all. I wanted to include other ridiculously cute, furry, purry pets in the title, but I could only fit one. I have. They were rats, though, and it didn't end well for them.

If I hadn't been repressing my Trekkie-ness at the time, I'm sure I would have named my rats Kang and Koloth. My last cat's name was Spot, which was a direct reference. Her original name was Spock, because of the huge ears she had as a kitten - then I brought her to the vet to be neutered and they informed me I would have to reschedule for a spaying. Since she was already used to the sound of the name, I went with the gender-neutral 'Spot'.
