So, I just completed my pure Renegade playthrough. Spoiler: The End -Upgraded the whole ship, recruited everyone and made them all loyal. -Romanced Miranda. -Intentionally got Thane, Zaeed, and Morinth (picked her over Samara) killed on the mission. Sent Mordin to escort the surviving Normandy crew. -Tali died while holding the line, as a bonus. I like Tali, but not in this playthrough. She doesn't fit in a Renegade crew. -Wiped out the collectors, but saved the Collector Base. So...yeah, I'd call that a successful playthrough. Now that I've completed a pure Paragon and a pure Renegade (both males), I'll be going back and doing a more ambiguous Paragade female, and a Renegon female, too.
The Liara DLC is September 7th. They upped the price to 10 bucks though, so... who knows what's in it.
Glad they finally set a release date. I figured it would end up being the most expensive of the dlc thus far.
Very much looking forward to it, here's hoping it's going to be a meaty chunk of real content and fully voice-acted dialogue trees. On the other hand, thinking back to ME1 - ^ This.
Hell, even Strahovski couldn't come close to Miranda's goofy proportions. They must have put half her biotics implants in her chest and the other half in her ass.
I don't know. I imagine it'll be like all of the other side missions, so you'll probably only see Hillis, Hale, Meer and maybe whoever they get for the Shadow Broker and some random NPCs. I am hoping that the price indicates something more ambitious, but who knows at this point.
^ Yeah that's the point I failed to make, I hope it's going to be the first heavy-duty, meaty DLC for ME2 precisely because it comes with a pretty hefty price tag attached.
One of the producers posted this: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/129/index/4546420&lf=8 Well, we'll find out in a couple of weeks anyhoo.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the DLC, but I'd really rather have one featuring Ashley instead of Liara. Never was a big fan of hers. Okay, I think I'm re-obsessed with this game again. I just completed my third playthrough, this time as a Renegon FemShep (by the end of the game, she was about 90% Renegade, 55% Paragon). Now I just need to run through it with my Paragade Shepard to hit for the cycle.
^ You're not obsessed as long as you remember the number of your playthroughs. I've lost count in ME1 back in the day
I can't imagine doing seven playthroughs. Can there really be enough variation that you're still finding new stuff in #7? Or are you including multiple playthroughs with the same character? I'll probably have at least six playthroughs in ME2 by the time I'm done. I need to replay it with both my male Shepards, one because I finished him before any post-release DLC had come out, and the other because there were a couple choices I made that I want to do differently.
^ I thought 2 was enough I have a male and female character in my saved games. My male one is original in terms of there from my 1st playthroughs of ME 1 & 2 so what ever happens, happens. My female character for the most part follows the opposite choice paths so I can experience a totally different universe. I just don't see a point for a 3rd character as of yet though I was thinking of maybe a new character to be killed off at the end of number 2 so it would change ME3 even more.
Both, done different characters and just reloaded and played again. Paragon, Renegade, different classes. Getting Legion waaay early was a very interesting playthrough. I'm a cheapskate and trade in values are wimpy, i get a lotta mileage outta my games.
I kind of like the variations of characters I came up with (four). 1. Paragon Male: Vanguard, Colonist/Sole Survivor, saved the Council. 2. Paragon Female: Infiltrator, Earthborn/War Hero, sacrificed the Council. 3. Renegade Female: Adept/Sentinel, Colonist/Ruthless, saved the Council. 4. Renegade Male: Soldier, Spacer/Ruthless, let the Council die. It definitely makes things more interesting, especially the two female characters, whose morality is less black and white than the two male characters'. I'd love to be able to get Legion early, but I'm not sure if I want to get my whole crew killed to do it. Bringing him along on Tali's recruitment and loyalty missions would be interesting, though.
