I was just looking through my Nook Wishlist and noticed this huge price change for the Nook version of the first Eugenics Wars novel. I've had this one on my wishlist for a while now, and up until at least a couple weeks ago it was either $5.99 or $7.99. I noticed that the paperback is also upped to $32.99, so does this mean that they rereleased it as one of those special pay to print, or whatever they call it, books? I usually don't complain about e-book pricing, but this is ridiculous IMO. I don't think it's fair to do this just because of the special new paperback. I can see when they are trying to make it competative with the hardcovers, but this book has been out for years, and was never this expensive before.
Haven't all the paperback Eugenic Wars books been out of print for a long time now? I can't find the two sequels being sold anywhere on Amazon.
At BooksOnBoard, the ePub version is only $7.99. http://www.booksonboard.com/index.p...genics+Wars,+Vol.+1&AUTHOR=Greg+Cox;+Greg+Cox
When Bob Orci tells the world he's reading a Trek novel while writing a Trek film, it becomes an instant collector's item
Well, I realize it's nice to have the demand/prices go up for something you created, but it would be nice if your fans could actually afford to buy it, I should think. I enjoy your books greatly - they're among the Trek novels I've reread more than once - but no offense intended, I wouldn't pay that much for any version. I've been a book collector/hunter for over 35 years, but there does come a time when one has to draw the line. Hopefully this is just a typo, if the price isn't consistent with other sellers.
No offense taken. I was just joking about the idea of the book being in demand again after all these years. And, indeed, one wants one's books to be read. I always smile when I see one of my old books disappear briefly from the shelves of my local library . . . or get a fan letter regarding some old novel I wrote a zillion years ago. It's nice to know the old books are still floating around out there, finding new readers.
Look at post #4 in this thread. I have put a link to the ePub eBook (with ADE DRM) version from BooksOnBoard for only $7.99.
Here's the link to the B&N page if anyone wants to see for themselves. I also checked S&S last night and it was $24.03 there too, but I just looked again and they've marked it down $7.99.

I haven't seen any sort of markdown. I just checked both of these sites and they're still showing a price of $24.03 - Byron
