This seems to have snuck out somewhat! http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/doctor-who/24982/doctor-who-see-the-strax-prequel-here "So, dresses then..."
You know, their own spin off show might become repetitive, and the joke might wear thin, but hell I'd be willing to take that chance! How about a half hour drama/sitcom for early Saturday evenings... And you never know, their good friend the Doctor might drop round from time to time...
A lizard lady, her human wife, and their butler who is in fact a cloned alien supersoldier solving crimes in Victorian London? How the hell could that possibly get old?
It was cute. And I'm not sure that Strax was actually dead so much as he was in a two-day long healing coma. Which suggests that Strax doesn't have brain damage (as "The Snowmen" states); he's actually a bit dim.
If we get tree episodes of Sherlock every year (or is that every other year?), I'd love to get three episodes of Madame Vastra every now and then too.
I liked it, as much as it guts the original Strax character. He had an awesome death scene, only to be spoiled by someone saving his life. :P Mark
That was really fun. I love that we have a recurring cast now of vivid alien characters instead of the companion's fucking mum or whatever.
Gatiss gets tested for the spin-off in his second episode this series, with all the characters doing their thing in their setting.
Ah but look at it this way, how many Sontaran's get a noble death in battle...then get the potential for another noble death in battle!
