Yeah, it's on the PS3 PSN now.. demo was out. I tried it. Cripes, this game sucks. And sucks hard. Basic idea is that you have two controls, one moves and steers, the other is a 'target photon torpedo' crosshair. You first at crap.. it blows up.. you get power-ups. That's it. Four ships have different powers. I dont remember any of the ships other than the Constitution class (official here, I guess) being in the movie, but I could have missed them. Gameplay is about as immersive and in-depth as most third-tier early 1980s arcade games. There's multi-play.. but, why would you hate your friends so much to subject them to this? "Hey, wanna try out some new Halo maps?" "No, man, I want to play a really bad Robotron 2084 ripoff with sucky controls instead, with the words Star Trek on it!" "Screw you, man." I strongly recommend you avoid this game. It would be passable as a free Flash app on the web to advertise the movie. As it is, a rediculous excuse for a Star Trek game.

God, yeah, horrible game. I bought it for 360 when it first came out and spent about an hour with it before deleting it from my hard drive. Very similar to the hardcore suckiness of the nuBSG game that came out a few years ago - an unabashed cash-in that obviously was done on the extreme cheap, knowing it would sell simply because of the fanbase.
The game rocked on my Sega Genesis!! Wait this it 2009 and I have a PS3? What a steaming pile of unknown alien fecal matter this game is.
