How to know when you're too old for your clothes

there's no such thing as being too old for your clothes.

there is however the problem of old people wearing exclusively beige and grey clothes that look hideous.

 

Yes, I know. But where did they become so overwhelmingly part of the culture?

 

While we're still on the subject: I don't think I have any jeans

I might have a few pairs stowed away in the cellar somewhere. - You know: pack away anything you don't use and when a year has passed without you using it; throw it away!

But yeah: in the summer I wear 'cargo'-shorts, in winter I wear sweatpants at home or (black) 'cargo'-pants...





To say it with other words: I have 10 Kg to go before I can fit into them

I like wearing a cap much more than I like wearing sunglasses, plus it is much harder to destroy and much cheaper to replace.
And I'll turn it any way I like to get the sun off my skin/out of my eyes dangnit!

 

I kept a 32" waist until I was 37, when one month I ate butter pecan ice cream every weekend.

 

The list is a stupid, not funny joke.

Sweat pants you can wear until about 30, and if you have a big butt to show off.

Backwards baseball cap makes you look like an idiot at pretty much any age.

40ish for a speedo if you at the half a percent that can bull it off. Guys with darker skin probably 45.

Same with skinny jeans. A friend of mine is 33, look 20. If you have a small build then really what is the probably with skinny jeans?

What's wrong with earrings? If they are little and not numerous I see no probably with them for almost any age.

 

How numerous can earrings be? Don't most people have only two ears?

 

But six-to-eight rings in one ear isn't unheard-of.

Personally I find multiple piercings to be a very personal thing... a thing that should be covered by decent everyday clothing - not entirely unlike tattoos...

I couldn't agree more about tattoos being supposed to not all the time be visible. People forget too readily that what might look good on young and tight skin will look ridiculous at best and disgusting at worst on shrunken, wrinkly, sagging bodyparts a few decades later.


I'd like to return to the baggy pants for a moment, though, as I just discovered this beautiful example at a colleague's desk. According to the caption it is an example of modern human evolution

I just did. Just took me some time to convert the thing. I'm at my office and don't have the same quality of software as I have at home...

well, there is one thing to be said in favour of tattoos: if you have a bad lover you can at least look at the pictures till he's done...

 

I don't get what you mean that tattoos are "supposed to not all the time be visible". Why would someone else write the rules for what drawings other people put on their body?

I think most people who get visible tatts are quite aware that the tatt will change in color over time due to fading and their own skin changing with age. People are not nearly as unthinking as is assumed.
