Since Walter's not only known for Star Trek, I thought I'd start this in the general SF & F forum. Walter Koenig will receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sept. 10, 2012. JMS will be a featured speaker at the ceremony and it will be live streamed. http://hollywood.patch.com/articles/actor-walter-koenig-to-receive-walk-of-fame-star Congratulations to Walter. Jan
I won't be going to the ceremony -- I'll be out of town -- but I will be attending the screening of "Spectre of the Gun" and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan that Walter Koenig is hosting at the Egyptian on that Saturday. Should be fun.
I thought Star Trek had three main cast members, Chekov and co were only recurring and if you include them, weren't there eight? Kirk, Spock and McCoy plus Sulu, Scotty, Uhura, Chapel and Chekov.
Rand and Chapel should count, but Grace Lee Whitney and Majel Barrett didn't stick it out for all six movies -- and don't have stars on the Walk of Fame, AFAIK.
As most know, Water Koenig got his Hollywood Walk of Fame star yesterday. The full ceremony is now posted on their website. It's not long, less than 30 minutes. http://www.walkoffame.com/ Jan
