I'm actually looking forward to the Superbowl Who track they are releasing. Could be really cool.

I want it, and I love that album... but I'm not sure I should pay $15 to break my own hands...

^Megadeth's Rust in Peace has done a lot more for me than these useless sausage-link fingers! Buy it and crank down the difficulty if you have to.

I got the Who Super Bowl track: a better recording than the performance let me tell you and a real work out on drums. I think it is now the longest track in the game @ ~12 minutes.

I got as far as the harmonica solo on drums and then failed out at the constant triplets.

Yeah, but you get a lot of synth breaks as they transition from songs. I managed to beat it my 2nd time through since I saved star power and got the rhythm down. 260k is only good for 4.5 stars, though.

Hah, I was thinking they'd give it away for free, but it makes sense they didn't.

Looking at Rock Band Network, the songs are mostly shit, by shitty bands that nobody has heard of. But I grabbed a couple of songs. Vai for the guitar wank challenge of it and the one Marillion song.

But, I'm still hopeful that the whole thing will prove worthwhile. I do think it will be a financial failure, and possibly the end of the fake plastic guitar era, if it hasn't ended already.

Activision is doing their best to kill the plastic instrument games by flooding the market (and I think they want to kill the FPS platform now). Hell, one of their head honchos even admits they want to milk it for all it's worth.

I might get 'Seven Nation Army', but I'm not really into the White Strips, and frankly I don't really know who any of those others are except Neil Peart is from Rush, right?

--Yeah, I realize that's an awful, awful sentence.
