It's an exciting time to be a Rush fan!

Supposedly a new song from Clockwork Angels debuts on 4/19. The word is it's a radio-edit of a 7 minute + song called Headlong Flight. The album is scheduled to be released in late May.

There are rumors flying fast and furious right now in Rushland. First, that a Fall tour will be announced on April 19th, and a few dates have already leaked (if you trust that sort of thing).

Second, that Rush is scheduling all indoor venues, because a full orchestra will be joining them for at least part of the evening (Think Marathon, Manhattan Project).

Third, a leaked image from the tourbook (since taken down at the request of the band) showed the Signals Dalmatian on the cover. Could it be they are playing Signals in its entirety in honor of its 30th anniversary, as they did for Moving Pictures on their last tour?

Lastly, the rumor is that there will be a radio preview tomorrow.

You can check out all the latest speculation, hand wringing, and giddy fanboi-ism on Rush Is A Band...

Regardless, it is time to get fired up, ladies and gentlemen. The Greatest Band in History is getting ready to rock again!

Wow, that's great news! Thanks for the heads up! I've been a fan since junior high, but I didn't manage to see them live until the Time Machine tour last year. This news has me very excited, thanks! :techman:

Excellent news. Signals live would be awesome - still my favourite Rush album. Caught them on the Time Machine tour at London's O2 last year - and the Moving Pictures segment was definitely the highlight of the show.

And if so, would they have Ben Mink on board for Losing It or use someone else?

Well, most of this stuff is rumor right now. You know how that goes. We'll see if any of these things are true soon enough.

I have a hard time believing they'll have an orchestra, or that they'll play all of Signals (the dalmatian has appeared several times over the years). If we got Subdivisions, Analog Kid, and New World Man, I'd be happy.

We saw the Time Machine tour twice (both times in Las Vegas). It was pure awesomeness.

Yeah, Subdivisions is a must, for me. I've only seen them live once - and that was the Show Of Hands tour - and the highlight for me was Subdivisions. Mind you, the old Grace Under Pressure tour video from way back had a mighty version of The Weapon. Great stuff.

I can't wait. They sound tighter and better than ever. That new bass line is amazing.

    Thanks for the news.

So did you have to sell both your soul and your wife's to get those?

Now that you mention, yes it does. ;lol:

Awesome new. I've been a RUSH fan for many, many years. Being born and raised in Buffalo, NY, I've had the oppertunity to see them live A LOT. They always seemed to kick off their US tours in Buffalo. My first RUSH concert 2112 and then there was their Moving Pictures tour (internal album phot's from the Buffalo concert!). From that point on I was completely hooked and I saw every album tour right up to and including Roll The Bones. I saw them again on their Test For Echo tour and then again on their Sankes & Arrows tour. I've lost count how many concerts I've been to....

Time to see them again. I hope they hit Toledo or Cleveland!

Well, they weren't giving them away, you know. But what the heck. You can't take it with you.

    ;)

    Here's another shot for you.

Have you seen The Time Machine Tour DVD? It was filmed in Cleveland. Including Moving Pictures in its entirety.

June is going to get here soon enough. Started to listen to all their albums, in order, on Monday. Right now I'm cranking Mr. Soul from Feedback. And soon, a new album to blast!

Reading that list.. I think of how all of these arenas have sold their souls to corporations. Maybe for the next leg of the tour, Rush will play at the Preparation H Arena in Big Sky Montana.

Just how cool is that??! Doesn't sound like they've lost anything over the years. I remember being introduced to Permanent Waves back in 80 or 81 and becoming instantly hooked. Didn't take long before I had picked up all of their earlier work. Still luvz me some Rush.
