Thanks for a great Valentine's Day, Kestra and RoMax. I got a wonderful Valentine from a non-anonymous admirer that touched my heart and made me feel great. Then I got stood up by my blind date and turned into a bitter old man, angry at the world. I haven't been on such an emotional roller-coaster since 1989.
I'll spend this Valentine's Day in my usual way: Sitting in a dark room and wallowing in self pity. Yay!
Thanks to my, now, unanonymous Valentine sender both for the flowers and for deperplexing me. Keep in touch, don't be a stranger, etc.
Let me add to the chorus of thanks to Kestra and Robert Maxwell for organizing and orchestrating this little thread. A lovely sentiment on their parts, and a very thoughtful one as well. My thanks to you both.
It sounds like this has mostly been a success. If we're both still around next year, we might do something similar. No promises! A lot of the requests we got were also followed with a thank you for doing this, and everyone has shown appreciation in this thread as well. I don't do things expecting to be thanked for them, so that's been a very pleasant surprise. You guys are a great bunch and I'd like to wish each of you a Happy Valentine's Day. You all mean a lot to me.
I've been busy for the last week or so and haven't checked in to the BBS so I didn't know about this thread. Thanks to whoever sent me the flowers though!
Hey, hey, HEY, you're getting to know me far too well...I mean, how could you even think such a thing? Scandalous.
