I'm thinking of constructing a full size TNG bridge within this year. But, before I start, I thought it would be interesting to have a thread about the TNG Bridge. All information is welcome.

Make the viewscreen a huge TV, and then you can sit in the captain's chair and say "Engage!" with Picard. Make sure you're in costume too.

Thats bridge is huge, i hope you have enough space.

You can make the whole house like the Ent-d. The transporter room would be your main foyer entry into the house, with the door on the back side of the trasporter pad. The bathroom could be big black tiles made to look like the Holodeck. The dining room just like the conference room. The master bedroom like Picards quarters. Etc.. Yes, I use to think about making Ent-d house LOL.

Who would go to the holodeck to take a simulated dump?

Your 'deposit' would just be transformed into energy..lol

Well the TNG style holodeck does look like big ceramic tiles, which IMO looks better than the Voyager style holodeck

    Obsessive maybe, but not delusional.

If you wear a Trek uniform every day, insist on being addressed as “Captain,” and reply to every suggestion with “Make it so” — THEN you’re being delusional.

    Been done.

Exactly. If you have the room and the $$$, choose your favorite.

    Edit:

And as far as the apartment above....fun place to visit, but living there would likely drive me the rest of the way nuts.

The major Bridge changes from the early seasons and the rest of the seasons is the type of seats for the Helm, Navigator(both in a reclined type of seating in season 1) and the command seating area. The GENERATIONS movie added new work stations both port and starboard side.

Maybe you could make a blog to keep us up-to-date with your progress. Id love to hear how. You get on. It may be worth contacting some set designers to get some tips. Good luck!
