    Well, yeah. I was around here pre-ST09, hence my "feigned repulsion" for blue nacelles on that image ;)
    (an image that "MadMan" did a great job of creating, by the way).

    The new sombrero better have a blue pulsating stripe running along the edge of the brim or I'm mailing a box of dog poo to J.J. Abrams.

    Far be it from me to introduce some logic into this topic, but I always thought the nacelles glowed orange in space because of the heat generated as the charged particles of outer space passed through them.

    Perhaps when they function underwater, they change modes and the nacelles are not heated to the same temperature, causing the bluish color????
