    Brann vs Lillestrom

Brann try to return the ball after a stop in play for an injury but inadvertently score instead! Then they gift them an equaliser.

    2 points;

    1) Love how everyone appears to blame the goalscorer when in reality it's clearly the keeper's fault

    2) The Brann keeper appears to be having none of letting them score a goal back, instead doing his best to try and make the save!

I guess if you're a goalie instinct kicks in!

Been trolling through past posts to find my PL predictions at the start of the season and it was not one of my finest

One day Wigan you will go down :p Also I said 15th for Forest but we finished 19th instead.

Same thing happened with Ajax once, also pretty funny, because the guy trying to get back the goal misses initially.

re: 2) maybe Brann said "hey, you get a chance, but you've got to win the 1:1 against the goalie"

Rio set to be snubbed in favour of John carrying cracked ribs Terry and Kyle Walker set to miss out due to a broken toe, another example of the pathetic boots they wear these days.

Well much as I detest the guy Terry is probably fitter and in better form than Rio...

Rio's form 2nd half of the year been pretty good IMO, he's hardly been injured and Terry still got that rib problem. Looks like Andy Caroll is set to make the squad  according to some sport writers on twitter.

Wasn't Fergie saying something to the effect that Rio would struggle to play games that close together?

I don't have a huge issue with Caroll making the squad, he's in form at least, and it is just a squad--personally I'd take Crouch, say what you like about him he scores goals at international level.

He managed the run in which saw Utd playing quite a few games in a short space of time and he looked fresh n fit unlike Terry who after that Liverpool game looks like hes ready to drop.

Squad should be announced in a few mins.

    FULL SQUAD

    STAND BY

Jones is covering two positions RB and CB.

Richards switches off? WTF does Lescott and Johnson do then? am surprised they can get out of bed in the morning.

DOWNING :guffaw:So no Lennon clearly the most natural english winger in the PL and not even standby.

Barry over Carrick? how rigid does Roy want our midfield.

Carroll (can't score) Defoe (Can't get a game)

    Group stage elimination.

Downing and Lescott - FFS, why?!

Should have been Adam Johnson and Shawcross for my money.

We might, repeat might, scrape into the QFs but we can give up any realistic hopes of getting any further.

Did we ever have realistic hopes of going further?

I'll wait and see how we play because if Roy can actually get a team to gel that will cover a lot of deficiencies. (Big if I know)

    Hart
    Walker, Cahill, Terry, Cole
    Walcott, Gerrard, Wilshere, Young
    Rooney, Sturridge

I'd give that team a fair chance of going a bit further than the QFs.

I know injury is going to rob us of Wilshere and Walker, but the likes of Lescott and Downing - FFS we can do better than that.

    England 0-2 France

    England 1-2 Sweden

    England 1-1 Ukraine

These are my predictions so that means Group Stage elimination for England with 1 point. I will also say we won't win our WC Q/F group based off Roy's idea of ENG's best 23 fit players and will need the playoffs.

If the squad Woy has picked manages to qualify from the group then that should be considered a successful tournament. Anything more would be a bonus.
