Orac, I hope you don't mind... I really liked your take on the TNG-Cage crossover, so I did another variation. :)

Its somewhat ironic that young Majel Barrett looks so good on Troi's body. I guess we know what Ian Andrew Troi saw in Lwaxana!

That's really good. The only critique I have is that Picard has no neck, so it looks a little odd, when viewed right next to Spock there.

^ Thanks. Actually, Kirk doesn't have much of one either in the original. His shoulders are shirked upward some, which swallows his neck a bit from the camera angle. I did think about trying to raise Picard's head some more, but figured it was OK. Now that you mention it, it started bugging me, so here's another take. ;)

Fair enough. Just an at-a-glance observation, really. Maybe it's that Picard's head is too big?

I don't know what it is, it just looks like he's slouching.

    ^ I appreciate the feedback, thanks. :)

Yeah, I usually try to match up the orientation of the eyes and mouth, attempting to scale until they're about the same. But sometimes that doesn't work due to different proportions for each person, or the camera angle. I did shrink his head just a touch and I think it looks a little better. The real key is finding images with the same light source position and shadow casting. I imagine a professional can mimic light sources and shadows, but I've not had much luck with trying it. Anyway, it's fun to come up with passable looking scenes that never happened. ;)

For an idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a while now... not sure if it'll ever amount to a fic or anything, but it's one that's been bugging me for a while now...

^ Heh, awesome. I remember reading a a Highlander/Babylon 5 crossover fanfic way back in the day, but I don't recall ever seeing a Highlander/Star Trek one.

the ideas just been there for a while... was watching some old Highlander episidoes a few days back, and this scene just struck a chord with me...

While Richie died the next year sadly, I could definitely see Duncan joining Starfleet in the future... especially after an attack on Earth... he'd see it as 'his duty' to protect his planet or some other honourable stuff lol

^ Nice work! The lighting on their faces is very different though, as if one was indoors and the other outdoors. If you could get an indoor head shot of Duncan with similar lighting and shading to Richie, it'd work a bit better. Otherwise, proportions and blending is looking good. :bolian:

I just assumed, based on dialog previously quoted. I'm not familiar with the characters. It wouldn't have hurt to follow through with the correction, though... who is she then?

it's just a random character i'm using... used Eliza Dushku for the model... Richie was killed in Highlander, got his head sliced off by Duncan in an 'accident'

    ^ No problem, thanks.

Funny, somehow Richie struck me as one of those androgynous names that could be used for male or female, like Steve and Stevie. Also, it's somewhat similar to Richael, Richelle, Richere, etc. But apparently "Richie" is only male. Anyway, I see now how it's Eliza of Buffy and Dollhouse fame. :)
