Sorry for the delay, I've been busy with work the past couple days. Well the Constitution refit trounced the Galaxy class 22-10. But Picard still has a chance with his other toy! Sovereign vs NX-class: 22-9 - http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=222721 Intrepid vs Constitution: 6-20 - http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=222850 Constitution(refit) vs Galaxy: 22-10 - http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=222949 Full tournament bracket can be found here: http://challonge.com/STShipclass In the final bracket of Round 1, we have the Defiant-class vs the reboot Constitution! Will Ben Sisko's toy be the first to take down one of the old school explorers or will it sweep it's way into the finals? vs Remember this is a vote on which ship you like more for whatever reason. Not which one you think is faster, more fun, or stronger. Though if it's your favorite for those reasons, vote away. Have fun and keep the discussion friendly! Let the voting begin!
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Tricked out Millenium Falcon vs tricked out Constitution. Defiant is utilitarian, the Abramsprise is gratuitous.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern You could fit the defiant in Nuprise's hangar bay Galacticprise FTW
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Defiant. Not a fan of the Abramsprise's ample nacelles, if you know what I mean.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Defiant over the Fuglyprise, not even a contest.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I like the concept of DS9 having a pocket battleship permanently docked there, but just never was that big a fan of the Defiant's design. I like the traditional saucer/nacelles design of most starfleet ships, and Defiant is the oddball of federation designs and looks more like an overgrown runabout to me. Abramsverse Enterprise on the other hand, while not nearly as good as TMP refit OR TOS Enterprise, still looks good to me. Only complaint I have is the secondary hull, but love the saucer and nacelles.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern The Defiant always reminded me of a toilet seat.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Thought this was a tough choice to be honest, I like the new Enterprise a lot, and rank it highly (it's not without it's faults though) and although I'm not a huge fan of the design of the Defiant, I'm a fan of how badass it is. It's Star Trek's version of Scrappy-Do. I went with the Enterprise.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I like the the Abrams Enterprise but I prefer the Defiant.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Defiant without a doubt. The ship was built to fight, but just be some overinflated fanwank. Plus with Sisko in command the NuTrek crew wouldn't stand a chance.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I've got to go with the Defiant Class this time. The Consitution Class alternate loses points for it's nacelles and pylons.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern The Defiant looks like someone's attempt to fanwank a Millennium Falcon knockoff into the Trekverse. The new Enterprise, however, is gorgeous
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I have to agree. The alternate Enterprise is one of the very few things I liked about the '09 movie.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I have seen this said by other people, but I never made the Millennium Falcon connection before. Other than both ships having a semi-saucer shape, I see absolutely nothing in common between the two.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern Tough call, but the Defiant edges it out for me.
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern But do they suck as you put it equally? Or does one suck more than the other?
Re: Favorite Ship Tournament: Round 1 - Defiant vs Constitution(altern I'm voting Defiant. It's a tough little ship that can take as much punishment as it dishes out. Otherwise; we've been treated to two movies where the nuPrise is shown to be fragile. With scenes showing the floors and walls cracking apart. After both movies, the ship would have to be torn apart and completely rebuilt.
