They usually write the episode the week they put it together.

Which is the way it should be. :)

Since this topic refuses to stay on topic, I'll add my 2ยข.

South Park is hit or miss, but given the speed at which the shows are written, their hit record is astoundingly high. The episode "You Have 0 Friends" is the most brilliant swipe at "social media" I've seen in the media. Likewise, I thought the South Park movie was very smart, taking the very controversy over this rude cartoon and making it the plot, commenting on how people will go to political extremes to "save the children" instead of taking the time to actually talk to them.

So, sure, it's not always funny, and some people find it never funny, but the Court Jester always offends somebody.

Yes, the FaceBook episode was brilliant, especially the ending. The World of Warcraft episode was perfection, as was the Return of the Lord of the Rings.

So, how's the editing of Act IV coming along?

I haven't watched South Park in an age, but pretty much agree with Maurice. When it's funny, it's hilarious. When it's not, it's a train wreck.

Oddly, I found Team America dull and deeply unfunny.

And yes, Act IV? Maurice? :)

I haven't seen one yet that I didn't find funny, but certainly every one isn't brilliant - occasionally they'll pick a lazy target.

My favorite lately was "Whale Whores."

    Are we there yet?

I would imagine that if we were "there yet" that we would have viewed the episode in it's entirety and be discussing it presently. Since that isn't happening I think it can be reasonably assumed that we are not, in fact, "there yet".

I hope I'm never "winning" Charlie Sheen style.

Now, to be fair only one of the goddesses, Rachel ne "Bree," is a porn actress. Naty is a pothead icon.

Then I'll just have to settle for "Bree." Send her my way when you can. Thanks!

Bree Olson's never appealed much to me. She had a really, really brief stint as a babysitter on that Kardashians reality show, though, so I guess she has relevant experience where the Sheen twins are concerned.

Charlie Sheen, like Mel Gibson, can pretty much say 'sayonara' to their careers.

Sheen for(as Boba Fett once stated about the abusing of alcohol and narcotics)indulging in insults to the flesh and disrespect toward women(it's a wonder his father and brother haven't knocked some serious sense into him).

Gibson for making offensive remarks about the Jewish religion and his disrespect for women. Not too mention his alcoholism.

I'm amazed that both of them are still among the living.

Well, even terribly unhealthy behavior doesn't bring people to predictably early ends - just usually uncomfortable ones. Jan Michael Vincent is still alive, for instance. If God's keeping score, he's lousy at arithmetic.

I bopped over to YouTube to see if Rachel/Bree's encounter with the Kardashian family was there - it's not, but she's got about half-a-dozen cooking videos uploaded. I was surprised, she comes across as unaffected and rather charming. Think I like her better with her clothes on.

Another sick thing about today's world. The reality show.

Honestly, what on earth is so special about it? To many, it's a cash cow. A ratings booster to help some network who is suffering from poor ratings and corporate mismanagement. If nothing else, it dangerously comes close to crossing the line in a network's policy concerning standards and practices.

What celebrities do in their private lives is their own business. Personally, it should stay that way. If nothing else, the networks should take their cues from someone like the late Stanley Kubrick and Harrison Ford(two people in the industry who are fiercely private). The last time I looked, the Right To Privacy still exists.

Paddy Chayefski was right when he depicted what was yet to come in his 1976 Oscar winning masterpiece 'Network'. Not only have the major networks become desperate to broadcast anything to achieve excellent ratings, they have turned such networks into(and pardon me for using this description)'whorehouses of entertainment'.

A clear sign of, as Howard Beale would say, 'the hypocricies of our times.' And of our youth being defiled even more by such visual garbage.

Huh? You make it sound like Gene Simmons, Ozzy Osbourne and the Kardashians had no idea that TV cameras would invade their lives. :rommie:
