    A new bunch of listings has gone up on the Simon & Schuster website:

    http://www.simonandschuster.com/search?term=star+trek&Ns=ON_SALE_DATE

    We now have dates for the following:

    That Which Divides - the TOS novel from Wardilmore, scheduled for the March 2012 slot (street date 28 February);

    Storming Heaven - the final Vanguard novel - will be released in the April slot (s.d. 27 March);

    Forgotten History - Christopher's DTI-origin novel (which appears to be retaining the DTI subtitle; although the blurb is just a copy of that from Watching the Clock, so ignore that) - is the May release (s.d 24 April)

    And, sneaking in-between all of that, on March 13 is a TPB omnibus edition of Star Trek: Destiny!

    So they have "rescheduled" it? While it wasn't officially scheduled yet, I seem to remember that David Mack said it was aimed for a June release a few weeks ago.

    Great news about Storming Heaven arriving two months earlier than expected!

    And if that Crucible omnibus is indeed coming with all the additional material that was planned for the hardcover, then this is a dream come true. (I just hope the binding is strong, this is going to be a massive book. Then again, we might be getting tiny print.)

    It's a Destiny TPB, not Crucible.

    ^ Wow. That was one spectacular brain fart of mine, combined with wishful thinking. Moving along now.

    I wonder which year Wardilmore's "That Which Divides" takes place? Hopefully it's not yet another 5YM story...

    It is a 5YM story, but we have known that for months now. :vulcan:

    Thanks for this! I really miss having the annual announcement of the upcoming schedule from Shore Leave. This will hold me over nicely. :)

    So I guess they're loading the shelves with TOS before the new movie comes out, except that really the new movie totally isn't coming out on time, so that's not gonna work.

    But we have, what, two new print books that aren't TOS or TOS-era from August this year through May next year? And neither of them is in the main 24th century continuity, either (MU and Enterprise). That's annoying. Gimme some DS9 for chrissake.

    Hopefully the second half of next year will be loaded with a bit more 24th century, what with DRG3s two books and Mack's trilogy. Out of the other two unannounced books, I'm hoping for another VOY and another TTN.

    Wasn't Forgotten History originally announced as a ebook-only-Release? I'm happy, that this isn't the case, I'm still one of those old fashioned tree-killers ;)

    ^ Nope. It's Christopher's Typhon Pact crossover that's e-book only.

    I know of two people that I'm going to give the Destiny omnibus to. If Vanguard ever gets the omnibus treatment, the same two people will get that as well.

    I hadn't even noticed that yet. I wonder if this will be a regular thing every year a nuTrek movie comes out. While it does make sense from a marketing standpoint, it is rather annoying because it means we have to wait longer for stuff in the 24th century arcs. I'm with you on the DS9 thing, ZSG and RBoE seemed to be setting up a new status quo for the series, and I'd hate to wait too long to see where the authors/editors are going with it.

    Anybody heard anything more about David Mack's new trilogy? He announced he was writing it in March so the three months till Shore Leave seemed to be enough time to work up some titles and teasers. Shore Leave seemed to be an appropriate forum to make an announcement.

    Maybe that's just wishful thinking.

    New movie or no new movie, TOS is a consistently strong seller.

    For what it's worth, Forgotten History, while mainly a TOS-era story, does have a frame story featuring the 24th-century DTI characters from Watching the Clock.

    ^ Fair enough about TOS selling well, but that's still 10 months in a row almost completely devoted to it. There hasn't been that kind of run since the move to one novel a month, as far as I know.

    I bet part of it, too, is that the 24th century stuff required more catch up on the part of the editor. If I'd just taken over the Trek line, I'd be working to publish standalones for a while, too, so I could get a handle on the big picture. Possibly I'm assuming too much here, but it makes sense to me.

    Either way: I want some DS9! :)

    While updating my Excel-Sheet of all Star Trek-Novels, and assuming I didn't make any mistakes, I noticed, that Geg Coxs "The Rings of Time" will an Anniversary: Pockets 150th TOS Print Release. Congrats to that remarkable number. :)

    That can't be right, can it? There were about 90 numbered TOS books, 40-ish TNG books, dozen or so VOY books, maybe 20 or 30 DS9 numbered books. That gets you over that number by itself, and that's not even counting the several years since they stopped numbering, which has gotta count for another 40-50 books anyway. I've got way more than 150 unique star trek books on my shelf alone, and I'm probably missing a few.

    Do you mean just TOS books?

    Sorry, of course I meant TOS-Books.
    Summary of all Series is 552 at the moment.
    Corrected my above post for clarification.
