The dude in the office across from mine (finishing department coordinator) is eating onions... raw. Like a normal person would eat an apple. I think I am going to be sick that is NaStY!
Well, it is, but I must admit that one of my sisters can eat whole onions because she likes them that much. She prefers the semi-green ones, though - the ones that look sort of like oversized leeks. And my dear husband eats potatoes raw. With salt. Blech.
I will admit I like raw potatoes--but not even with salt. I just like 'em sliced up as they are. Maybe soaked in water for a bit, but basically raw. Onions, though? No way.
I eat radishes like they are crabapples and I also eat green onion stalks raw. Raw potato with salt is an awesome treat as well.
About the only thing I eat raw is fish. Especially fresh herring with little pieces of raw onion. Love it.
Besides raw herring, I also very much like raw oysters: Looks kinda gross, but they really are delicious.
Oh cut up/diced raw onions are ok in moderation but not sitting there eating three huge-ass onion like they were apples. That's... horrible.
