Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

^ I was really surprised they're using CGI for his arm. Dylan Baker I believe hid his in his sleeve or was taped up. I can't remember now.

 

Yeah. His sleeve was pinned up. Presumably, they hid his arm the old fashioned way in his shirt while wearing a large jacket.

Of course, we are assuming that this is from before he starts to try to regrow his arm. For all we know, it can be after he starts experimenting and his arm is looking a tad strange, thus requiring the CGI.

 

Nah, they're just scrimping on the special effects. That's actually meant to be a green, scaly lizardy arm.

 

Can he get more "Ultimate" looking?

 

I'm sure the movie is going to be great, and he'll be a good Spider-Man, I think I prefer Toby McGuire's look as Peter Parker more.

 

he looks too cool for Ultimate Pete. pre-spider-bite Ultimate Peter was a major dweeb. and never had a skateboard.

 

Anytime I see that hair, I can't help but wonder how he's going to fit it all in his mask!

Yeah Andrew looks cooler than Ultimate Peter did. I like the look.

 

Here's an interview with legendary stuntman Vic Armstrong, who's in charge of the new Spider-man movie. He talks about the preference for real stunts in that movie, as oppose to the more CGI-based stunts in the Raimi/ Maguire movies.

I really am looking forward to the first trailer. I think we could probably expect one either later this winter or early next year. We could get a teaser trailer first I suppose.

 

Does anyone think that some type of 30 sec teaser in front of Captain America could happen?

They've been filming for awhile now and Cap is still 6 weeks or so out. Plenty of time to put something together.

If I had a Marvel property I would.

I would have an Avengers tease, Amazing Spiderman tease and Ghost Rider spot. Especially the latter needs the awarness boost the most. I could see a Sherlock Holmes spot in there as well due to RDJ.

 

I don't know about that early...I think we get a 30 second teaser for "Amazing Spider-Man" by the end of the year not anytime sooner. I don't think we'll get anything for "Avengers" other than post credit stuff at the end of "Captain America"

I thought the entire reason they were doing a reboot was so they didn't have to spend as much money?

 

Maybe they're banking on this being major. Enough to beat TDKR and The Avengers.
