After reading all your chilling posts... brrr. I am now happy to live in the sunny South. Today was our first cold day since October. [By cold I mean about 36F all day.]

about the same here, somewhere in the high 30s. And, alas, rain. It's one of those frustratingly dark days. I think I'll have a good supper and turn in early tonight with a nice book and a cup of hot cocoa. (If only the scientists would finally invent a way to prevent milk from getting this disgusting skin - ack!)

Cold (-28°C). And windy. Which makes it feel colder (-39). Brrrr.

According to the weather sites, it is all the way down to 39.6F (at nearly 5AM). Predicted high of 61F later today. Next week it might even get up to the 70s.

Southern California doesn't really have much in the way of Winter, at least if you aren't in the Mountains.

    ^LOL! I love bad puns! :D

eeks! We used to have such temperatures in January when I was a kid but in the last 30 years our winters frequently got much warmer. Around -12°C now.
The coldest I ever experienced was -36°C. It wasn't all that terrible, actually, as it was a dry cold. Wet cold is awful, though.

We got a dusting of snow overnight, but now it's mostly rain. A bit of frozen stuff on the ground, which made it tough to get out to the car safely this morning, but at this point it's just wet. Every school in the area but mine got a snow delay. Meh.

It's up to -12C now. I felt overdressed in my winter coat when I took out the garbage this morning.

It's nice to have some warm temperatures.

We're getting ginormous flakes right now, but not much in the way of accumulation yet. Every school in the county is closed except for mine, and as far as I've heard so far, the Coast Guard Academy. Not that I'm looking forward to driving home in this.

same here. At least it finally stopped raining (though I bet it'll start pouring tomorrow at 9:50 - I have a dentist appointment at 10 and due to the Christmas market the bus doesn't stop in the market place so that I have a 10 minute walk...)

Alienesse, who is the handsome warrior in your avatar?

^^ Richard Armitage?! I'd never have guessed it! I have a few audiobooks read by him (quite sexy voice at times) but I've only seen an old photo of him yet.

LOL not quite as hot here, but almost spring-ish with a foggy +5°C /40°F. Judging by my headache we'll get rain later. Experience taught me that it'll start the very minute I go home LOL

:p Well, it's somebody's awesome photoshopped version of Thorin with Klingon ridges. A friend sent it to me a while ago, but I don't know who the author is. Here is the full photo. I just cropped it.

At times? His voice is sexy all the time! If you ask me, that is. I didn't know him pre-Hobbit, but I've become quite familiar with his other work in the meantime. Here's a nice recent photo for you.

Anyway, back to weather. Snowing heavily this evening in Eastern Romania, - 3C.
