Looks like other trek fans have spoken after that ridiculous list that was set loose on the internet two weeks ago.

Star Trek fans at a Seattle convention ranked the best star trek films and this are their results:

    1. WOK
    2. First Contact
    3. Star Trek 2009
    4.
    5.
    6. STiD

Sadly Access Hollywood did not give us the full list, however Simon Pegg is breathing a sigh of relief. According to him, he can live with STiD placed in 6th position.

I bet the two missing movies are "The Undiscovered Country" and "The Voyage Home".

Is this any more relavent than the other poll?
Somehow, I'd think he'd yet find the will to live even were ID in 7th place.

About the same. The other poll was heralded as the definitive proof that the majority of the fans thought the movie was the worse of the lot. If anything, just goes to show that there isn't a universal opinion in [any] fandom.

Even this article seems to accept that the rankings were the genuine opinions of those attending the Las Vegas convention.
It was only the opinion of 100 of the attendees.

I hope the Seattle polling wasn't as biased.

Was &*%^ Galaxy Quest on the list in Seattle?

Wow I'm taking all this way too seriously.;)

Nice to see First Contact still kicking arse in the polls.

Well, Seattle fans have always had excellent taste . . . .

(Says this expatriate Pacific Northwester, who grew up in those parts.)

This. I mean, there are how many Trek-fans across the world? Must be over a million I'd think, including hardcore Trekkies and casual fans.
If this pole was done amongst just over a 1000 people, it doesn't really clearly show the opinion of fans.

It's simple: Do you like the movie Y/N? Did you enjoy it Y/N?

That's all that should matter. Polls and "fan opinion" are nothing to base one's enjoyment of something on. Besides, crap like that is always biased: A lot of people--even online--are going to vote the majority cause they don't want to outside the majority.

Just enjoy the fucking movie or don't. Whichever, make up your own mind.
