Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp How about a spoiler protection...?
Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp Errr... sorry. Got caught up in the excitement. And, well, it is the one and only point of the topic, so kinda hard to not reference it in the title. I suppose I could have titled it "A Spoiler", and left it at that. 'Course, one can't simply re-edit a title like one can a post, so I guess we're kinda stuck with it until a mod shows up, who can edit the title, or simply delete the whole post. As Spoilers go, it's likely to be unavoidable, as everyone from the "Nerdist" to "Huffington" to, well, pretty much everyone is reporting this. At this point, just about the only way to avoid spoilers is to engage in a total media blackout until mere minutes before the show actually airs.
Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp This has already been menioned in the Day of the Doctor thread.
Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp In that case, I'm sure McCoy, Davison, and Colin Baker will turn up as well. I'm personally hoping for a Barrowman-free special, however.
Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp Too late he's already in your attic waiting to jump out...
Re: Exclusive: Tom Baker to Appear in 'Doctor Who' 50th Anniversary Sp Eek -- hold on a minute, I don't have an attic.
That's understandable, chardman. However, while I normally wouldn't consider casting to be spoiler material, a great many fans really don't want to know until they see the special. So consider this a sort of compromise.
Did we ever find out what The Four Classic Doctors "protesting" their lack of involvement was all about, or is there still some surprise coming as to what they were actually doing? Or was that all there was to that, just a pretend protest for giggles? From what I recall Davison made some reference on his Facebook or Twitter or whatever, about being sworn to secrecy?
At this point, I'm casting a wide blanket that says "The Doctor, Moffat, Classic Doctors and the BBC all lie."... I have been amazed at how well many of the surprises have been kept secret.. I'm not going to be shocked by anything at this point..
This popped up enexpectedly in my FB news feed. I wish people would learn to keep a secret (looking at a certain actor here). I'm at the point where I really don't want to know any more til Saturday.
If he does appear, he'd better appear with a badger and a talking cabbage. Otherwise, he shouldn't bother.
