For those who might be tired of action figures, there's a 1/1 scale (lifesize) statue of Spock that is now available for preorder. It shows Leonard Nimoy as Spock in his classic TOS outfit. It's for sale for a mere $3000. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HCG10007&mode=retail&picture=out Personally, I think I'll stick to model kits. Sean
It looks Quinto-ish around the eyes. And yeah for 3k I want multiple photos with people next to it. Doesn't even tell you what it's made of! Weighs 280lbs. Well I wouldn't knock it back if anyone wants to buy it for me as a present. Helluva coat rack.
I much prefer my Andorian. In a screen-used costume: Andorian mannequin and Ian in Tellarite robes by Therin of Andor, on Flickr
You bet. Visitors say, "Trust you to have the world's biggest Star Trek action figure!" http://therinofandor.blogspot.com.au/2007/07/bluey-gets-dressed-finally-id-done.html
His face doesn't look like Nimoy's at all, at least from that tiny pic. For that kind of money, I'd rather spend it on a Real Doll, for obvious reasons. Not that I'd ever spend my money on something like that, though
As others have already stated - for that kind of cash I'd expect a Madam Tussauds-like resemblance and something pretty spectacular overall, which judging by that crappy pic, this item is not!
