Great choice, my good man. Kudos. The fate of the Roanoke Island colonists has always been one of my all-time favorite real life mysteries, and not just because my hometown shares the same name.
Growing up in Virginia myself, it's always been one of those stories I learned in history that we never had time to go over in more detail and which I never personally sought more information on myself. Definitely looking forward to reading the book. Oh tsq... where's the romance? Where's the mystery, the intrigue of that?
I had that game. Lots of fun. Unfortunately it and all of my Atari games and the system drowned when my house flooded 10 years ago. It's a good way to get rid of stuff.
What's more intriguing and romantic than people overcoming vast geographic, cultural, social, religious, and linguistic divides and then fucking?
I've bought a lot of vinyl in the last 2 weeks. I have bought: Black Country Communion - 2 Pearl Jam - Ten Poison - Native Tongue A bunch of Al Bowlly & Helen Forrest records with various Big Bands. Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music. This one cost me £50, but was worth every penny.
The lighting up nacelles is a little annoying, deciding weather to paint over it with some lightblocking to make it more accurate. But then again It does look pretty nice.
Yep it's completely solid! I have both the 1701 and the refit and both have succumbed to those awful stands, the 1701 now has a glued on nacelle. But yeah this is really solid, the stand is much thicker and has 2 sides to the vertical part.
Turns out the Enterprise B has the markings for Excelsior on the engineering hull. And on one side they're reversed... DST Quality control, legendary.
