No surprise there, we all saw what Rory Williams did to them. (He was just nice enough to let the Doctor take the credit.)

Well IAGMTW Rory had a question, "Where is My Wife?" and a message from the Doctor, which was more or less answer the question or be destroyed.

And anytime a title mentions the Last of something, expect it not to be the last.

It isn't like they destroyed every Cyberman in AGMGTW, it was just one fleet...

Last Cyberman, there's a reason Daleks call killing them pest control.

Good to know they didn't bother changing the title after that script was found in the taxi. I really like it.

Especially when the trailer clips and set photos show there's more than one of the buggers...

So, just to theorise, could this be a Dalek/Power of the Daleks style story, with one apparently powerless Cyberman prisoner/survivor playing nice or being tortured, but actually it's been setting up production lines and converting people all over the place? The brief was, after all, 'To Make Them Scary Again'...

That is Moffat's shtick, not Gaiman's.

Gaiman himself actually did say this episode is meant to make the Cybermen scary again, his exact words.

'Bout bloody time. Every episode featuring the Cybermen has been blah for the new series. Get them swarming over people like Borg and that'll get the fans interested again.

To make the Cybermen scary we need a reminder of what they are: a human idea.

    Sorry :)

Well I was wondering if maybe it starts with a bunch of them but they're wiped out except for one...

Words of wisdom. Though I'd put less emphasis on Cybermen slowly losing themselves to technology, and more on swarm mentality. Slowly turning their brains off.

    Maybe in The Last Cyberman,
the wacky castle could be an illusion created by the Cybermen to escape some harsh reality
, also the reason for adding stuff to themselves.
