He is kidding. He was including the 3 xmen films. Get it? huh do ya huh? Yeah it is tiresome, even though I mostly agree with him.
While I do like the X-Men movies, they focused a lot on Wolverine more than any other character. Even in the third one he was pretty instrumental in saving the day. So I pretty much consider them Wolverine movies.
Which is why I said I mostly agree. The joke is getting annoying though, and it was only mildly amusing to begin with.
To answer the OP's question i'm guessing that the story will start with Wolverine and sabertooth being recruited to join "weapon X" at least thats what it seems like from the comic con trailer.
God, I hope not. Out of many stupid things that have been done with Wolverine the last two decades or so, Origin was one of the worst. Pretty pictures though.
there was certainly a clip in the comic-con footage that showed a kid with claws. a kid Logan has been cast. footage has been shot involving a farm set and a barn. some elements may well be included. like elements of the UMU have slipped in to the other movies...
Actually I liked the Origin story myself. It was done pretty well. Nightcrawler's origin story though...Horrible.
Wolverine used to be one of my favorite comics but the way things are now I wouldn't be surprised if every Wolverine film was a movie about his origins. They didn't use the origin you like? Just wait for the next movie.
I have a question. The cast list at Wikipedia and IMDB doesn't include anybody as Emma Frost / White Queen. Did I not see her in that poor-quality trailer that came out of ComicCon? Or was that meant to be somebody else? Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
you did see her. the actress playing her is not known. Wiki does mention 2 actresses who's role is 'unknown' so, logically , one must deduce it's one of them...
^I'm not making any guesses about that. I got waaaaaaaaaay too excited when I saw the trailer for F4: Rise of the Silver Surfer with the blonde woman in a military uniform. Many baseless conclusions about her identity were jumped to by me. In my defence, Carol Danvers was heavily involved in the Ultimate version of the Galactus storyline.
That'll teach you to give the creative team behind the Fantastic Four movies the benefit of the doubt! :P
