A romulan C-store...? Doubt it, they would just expand the current store... I would think.

Yes, true, but all the new items are off limits to the old characters and the old items are off limits to the new Romulan characters.

So everyone who wants to upgrade is Romulan will have to do so from scratch.

Starting with basics like inventory/bank space, ship slots, BO slots to uniforms, doffs, etc and of course ships.

Well, Depending on which faction you ally with you can probably claim old c-store ships, but that`s about it.

So in a way if you don't see it as a new store, it's at least a new department IN the store.

So, though I have gotten along just fine with my Federation tactical officer, I have often noticed that (without really thinking about why) my escorts just don't seem to be all that nimble, even compared to my Gorn engineer in a Negh'Var.

In KASE today, I was flying my heavy escort carrier side by side with another HEC. Donatra let a salvo of torpedoes go towards us, and we both peeled off in the same direction. The other ship turned in a tighter arc and with more speed, no movement buff that I could see.

So, I went to investigate my build. Somehow, I had neglected to put any skill points into impulse thrusters. Not a single one.

How I managed this way without discovering it, I have no idea. This build has been in place since last summer. In addition to the lack of impulse thrusters, I realized that I have some poorly spent skill points in other places that I can use to shore up my survivability.

    Time for a re-spec!

Average Science Vessel - 2.5k dps
    Top-end Science vessel - 10k dps
    Average Cruiser - 3k dps
    Top-end Cruiser - 9k dps

I was just in a group of 5 top-end escorts who each did between 12k to 18k dps. We blew through ISE in under 1 minute. This game really need a dps re-balance.

I hope so. I'm just dieing for the Rom expansion, ATM I'm pretty bored with the grind, have most of what I want... (currently saving zen for a tactical escort refit - wanna try those quad cannons!)

I've been spending time fighting Romulan ships to get a feel for how fight and what to look out for.

On thing to look out for is when they fire 4 plasma torpedoes in a row out of nowhere... Nasty!

I purchased a Fleet Armitage from a T5 fleet, looking forward to try out the U.S.S. Copernicus in the field.

I enjoyed flying the Ambassador class, but she wasn't really suited to my characters strength. He is just not a tank captain.

Could be interesting to fly her with an engineer. The Ambassador is what the Galaxy Class SHOULD have been. Copy and paste her abilities over to the Galaxy Class and make the Ambassador faster and more maneuverable with some reduction to hull.

Canon mentions it's maneuverability to make up for lack of offense.

I also thought of a great special ability for the Galaxy refit.

Give her a rapid fire photon torpedo launcher. During the fight she can unleash a photon barrage of 10 torps very rapidly, practically no cooldown (like seen on screen) instead of firing them off one at a time.

After a barrage she needs to reload the tube and can't use an torpedos for at least a full minute.
That would utilize the new ammo mechanic they have in game.

I think that would give the Galaxy some interesting tactical advantages and still keep it balanced.

    What do you think?

I like that idea! Agreed on the Ambassador/Galaxy... The Galaxy class never got the proper love it deserves. 10 torpedoes would absolutely shred the shields and hull of the target, especially quantums!

I'd pay real money to see that! lol :rommie:

I just got to wondering... how gruesome would it be when fighting ship to ship and direct hull damage it taken to perhaps 50%, at that point crew start getting vented into space! Little dark silhouettes floating away from the ship, a nicer dark touch of realism...?

I know! I know! Bad!

This is sooo maddening! Went to play the new Crystalline Entity and the damn game shuts down every time after 30 seconds, tried it 4 times. Same thing happens with
the borg missions. I can play the boring as hell fleet events and other tholian missions. Its not that my pc is shit... freaking pisses me off! Oh well, no Crystalline Entity event for me... :o

I not only finished my 2 reputations finally and have a new mission to look forward to, I also gave the USS Copernicus a shakedown against the Crystalline Entity.
She performed outstandingly and made second place. Quite an achievement for her first mission.
The old torpedo set up is doing quite nicely.

I was on for about an hour this morning. The price of Dil went from 106 to 115. I expect it's only going to climb higher. If you want to convert your dil to zen, this is probably the time.

Well the Crystalline Entity event has given me a new use for the quantum shield thingy on the Vesta, now I can survive a point blank hit from the Entity's shockwave attack as long as the power is available.

I just got me a Borg cutting beam (I know, late to the party), the only gear so far I picked up from the reputation store. Any other store unlocks worth the investment?

Well the Borg plasma torp gives you a mini V'ger torpedo thing.

And the Romulan hyper plasma torpedo fires volleys that if you skilled right can be heavy plasma torpedoes.

Oh I also checked out the new character selection screen on tribble, now the BO slotted for your way team will show up behind your character and your ship should be visible above them.
