How is Janeway sexy?

Me too. I know we have mad fun here, but occasionally I like to try and address: "why is Janeway sexy?". Apart from "she just is", that pic I think sums it up for me...although she is both that, and yet so much more...

Why does suddenly Janeway look so tall?

Oh perhaps Tom shrinks by her powerful presence ;P

 

It never matters how tall the person Janeway is talking to is, her command presence is always absolutely defined.

 

Perhaps the director told him to crouch so he could fit 'em both in the shot?

Or it's just an illusion created by the low angle?

 

Or she's like Gandalf when she gets annoyed. Suddenly she appears larger, darker and terrible. Yeah, an outer space Gandalf, like the little one in Star Wars.

 

The real reason Janeway had Lessing cuffed to a chair in the cargo bay. She didn't feel like glaring angrily at his nipples.

Huh. That may explain my fearsome reputation.

 

I'm 5 ft 1 in tall and I've been told many times that people will not fuck with me when my death glare is front and center.

 

I also love the death talk to the hand thing she does..

 

This picture is great because it sums up a very common situation. In the foreground we have Janeway BAMF-ily telling some alien or another that she won't deal with his crap while doing the Dismissive Hand Wave, and in the background we have Chakotay playing Minecraft on their shared monitor. Or Solitaire. But he plays on that thing so much I think it's probably Minecraft.

Maybe when things are slow Janeway helps him build his cool cobblestone fort.
