I don't see why this is a problem...10th season to end the series right.

What fans want it to end?

i for one do...for reasons I've expressed in previous Smallville threads. I'm not alone either.

Quite simply, the longer the series goes on the more the ingrity of the series will go down.

What would a tenth season even be about, assuming the Kryptonians are dispatched by the season's end?

I for one propose a massive Nazi invasion from another dimension. If it can't be a full-on flying, suited Superman show, Clark fighting Nazis would pretty much be the only way to interest me at this point...

All of the concussions that Chloe, Lois, Oliver, etc. have suffered finally come back to hurt them!

You know, if the audience is there and the producers feel they can create more stories to tell, then more power to them. Who is it really harming in the end?

It's on the CW, though. How many people does it take for the "audience to be there"? Is 5 people watching enough? ;)

    However, this being Smallville.

Nazi arrive in season premiere, getting hopes up for some intriguing plots and action.

Next episode they are mentioned in passing.

    Next episode they aren't mentioned.

Second to last episode of season, they appear again...just a set up for the season finale. Clark dons the Super suit for only the 3rd time this season.

Clark beats them easily in a brief, unfufilling fight, last 15 minutes are characters discussing feelings while some emo-rock tune plays.

Why do you even bother with these threads if you don't even like the show? It's simple. If you don't like it, don't watch it. And stop shitting on everyone else's parade.

Callum Blue (Major Zod) was signed to a two year deal.

Yeah, word is they have a two-year arc in mind for Zod. I don't watch it myself and I'm not really a fan, but I think at this point the show's earned the right to go out on its own terms. Even though it's a WB holdover, it was one of the CW's top performers since the network's inception, and to be honest, the CW doesn't really have anything else that could replace it.

Nowhere, it's as simple as that.
I'm stealing this line and using it in future conversations about Smallville. No, you will not get equity.

    It will never end.

The guy who plays Clark knows he can't act, so he will never leave the show, thus it will continue forever.

I hope it gets a 10th season so it can tie Stargate SG-1, proving that shit shows can still last 10 years. :)

    I want it to end.

It's annoying to have to watch every episode.

I mean when you see a junkie corpse rotting in the gutter, do you blame the junk or the junkie?

This isn't really new news I'm afraid. Back when they were talking about a ninth season they announced that they had plans for a tenth and that they were trying to get Welling to sign on the dotted line for it as well. He did.

Actually one of the few who did not to sign for a tenth season, so far, is Allison Mack.

Might be your filter, sometimes those geeky moron editors at Io9 fill their site with NSFW posts like linking their site to some softcore/hardcore scifi review...if you get my meaning

    Anyway here's the article
