    This.
Just more evidence that the "House of Ideas" main if not only idea of late is just event, event, event. (not that DC isn't either)

The idea of adjusting and growing between events has long ceased.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

No it hasn't. We've been seeing whatever it is they are current planning unfold over a variety of books right now. As I've mentioned before we are still in the infinite stages of their current plan being executed. Whatever the Death of Wolverine is...is part of something that started with the first wave of Marvel Now and stemming out of their creative retreats. Infinity and Inhumanity are part of that, and "Original Sin" is probably the middle part of whatever it is. If you've been paying attention you can see themes and an actual plan.

As for Spider-Events. We've pretty much had one a year over the last two or three years, and they've been mostly just self contained arcs within the uber arc of what Slott has been doing.

I don't think Marvel has said Peter's return is an "event". It is what it is. This is something entirely different they're planning.

Isn't the next big event being helmed by Aaron and Gillen?

^ This appears to be something different that we don't know about, that is what I thought as well. This is probably following "Original Sin" since Rich phrased it as "Big Writer" (singular) in the article.

If the lasting fall out from this is a cheat that keeps the Original Ben Reilly around and in 616 continuity that will make this awesome regardless of the conflict with Morlun.

Ben is the Scarlet Spider I care about. Kaine can take up a different mantle, or, you know just be Kaine. I think Prodigy and/or Ricochet are aliases up for grab.

Maybe not...but he does make sense to use in this case. I hated him as well, but I can see why they're using him in something like this.

Slott has a history of taking other people's terrible ideas and making them work great.

    She's 20-something right?

Who's the most annoying person from 616 she could hook up with that would wig out her parents...

Won't she go "Back to the Future" now that Peter and Mary-Jane are not together when she might think that they should be together if her recollecting on their timeline is accurate?

(Who could be that dumb? A hundred other alternate and impossible universes worth of Spider-Man appearing side by side but she's worried that she is also just as impossible as the rest of them but only she will vanish in a puff of discontinuity.)

Actually, she was only 16. She was 15 when the book started, and only had one birthday in over 130 issues.

This story needs to have Peter Parkers who strongly resemble Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

May "Mayday" Parker-- daughter of Peter and Mary Jane.

And, all told, more than 130--
I loved Spider-Girl. It was real old-school style Marvel storytelling at its finest. A refreshing change of pace from what comics have become.

"Spider-Girl" was excellent, including the original What If issue that introduced the concept. Highly recommend checking them out if you can.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

it was basically a bunch of books given to tom defalco (former eic of marvel) set in an alternate universe (MC2) that let him do what he wanted instead of shitting up the main marvel universe since Tom Defalco during his tenure as EiC gave himself Thor and FF following in the steps of Walt Simonson and basically destroyed those books.
